The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) is a governmental entity affiliated with Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. ITIDA is responsible for growing and developing Egypt’s position as a leading global outsourcing location by attracting foreign direct investment to the industry and maximising the export of IT services and applications.
Pico was appointed to manage the ITIDA's launch of the ‘Africa Together’ programme, an initiative which comprises joint partnerships, market development initiatives and workshops, aiming to assist Egyptian ICT firms in penetrating high-growth markets across the African continent, especially in Uganda, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania and Nigeria.
Conceptualising a visual theme symbolising African countries coming together to contribute their strength and build the Egyptian economy, Pico built a stage and banquet area, exhibition booths, networking areas and an entrance pathway to the event in Mena House, Cairo. The structures also included light installations to emphasise the graphics and brighten up the event, which took place in the evening.
