Our client for the highly significant 2013 Joint Congress of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) and the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA), held in Bahrain, was the Bahrain Institute of Public Administration (BIPA).
This was a complex and intricate project from the start. With three months’ lead time, Pico teams had to develop, refine and execute multi-level plans to fulfill our full service management obligations, which included public relations, advertising and promotion, hospitality management, information management and event logistics management.
On the ground, we were responsible for meet and greet services, airport transfers, hospitality, PR, branding, photography and video coverage, outdoor advertisements, event logistics, delegate and speaker management and souvenir production.
Naturally, with so many variables in play, the teams were faced with multiple and at times seemingly impossible challenges, but through solid strategic planning and the intelligent deployment of resources, problems were minimised and this international event, a first for Pico in Bahrain, impressed the delegates with its ‘wow factor’.
