As the event manager of Fortune Malls x PostPet Promotion in September and October 2012, Pico had a veritable menagerie of responsibilities. With 2012 being the 15th anniversary of PostPet; the lovable Japanese character and his friends were invited to by Fortune Malls to celebrate his birthday party and the Mid-Autumn Festival with PostPet fans in Hong Kong.
Pico managed the entire programme for this ‘visit’: we designed the theme; decided the lineup with the character licensor; designed and produced the decoration; came up with the on-stage programme rundown; managed the emcee and artists involved; took care of the off-stage programme arrangements and onsite management of PR services;
designed and arranged the advertising; and finally designed and produced the printings and premiums design.
A 10 metre-high 3D inflatable character attracted families and teenagers to the exhibit, which was held over 10 shopping malls, while the kick-off ceremony featured a ‘Creative Hair Design Competition’, with teenagers from schools across Hong Kong joining in. Artists Super Girls and Cliff Chan, and dance groups of children and teenagers performed in the opening show, which drew an audience of over 500 people.
Successful time management was the key to ensuring this event’s success, which not only reinforced the PostPet and Fortune Malls brands, but generated sales turnover to tenants and increased footfall across all 10 malls.
