The Marina Bay Sands’ Epicurean Market is a fabulous festival of food designed to surprise, amaze and please the palate of every visitor. Held in August, the 2015 edition was a three-day festival boasting over 30 master classes led by celebrity chefs and award-winning bartenders, a farmers’ market with fresh produce and seafood, an enormous wine zone representing some of the world’s great wine cellars, after parties on Friday and Saturday nights, and much more.
In our role as designer and fabricator for this delicious event, Pico’s ultimate task was to deliver a vibrant marketplace atmosphere for visitors to enjoy – something which went above and beyond a traditional F&B exhibition. Chasing this goal, our team ensured that all the booths were designed according to the client’s brief to look incredible and present the food and beverages beautifully.
Epicurean Market was divided into five tasty themes: Retail Restaurants, Marketplace, Wine Zone, Celebrity Chef Arena and the Farmers’ Market. Our in-house design team worked closely with the client to develop and execute these customized themes, ensuring that we delivered across-the-board consistency which was of the highest quality. Balancing the need for reliability with the requirements of the individual clients necessitated great care and attention; while accommodating the different expectations of the various executive chefs involved in the show required constant communication and detailed discussions.
In the end, our team received lavish praise from the organisers, in particular for the lighting and general impression of the show, which gave the whole exhibition a pleasant and unique feel.
