Diyar Al Muharraq is one of Bahrain’s urban developers. They pride themselves on providing all members of the community with a quality lifestyle while continuously implementing eco-friendly initiatives and strategies; personifying social responsibility while incorporating Bahrain’s traditions and culture into their modern designs.
Their recent project, a partnership with the Ministry of Housing in Bahrain, entailed the purchase of 3,100 residential units for the Ministry’s Social Housing Programme, with Diyar Al Muharraq taking on the project’s construction work. To launch the project, a formal signing ceremony was held on March 2015 at the project site, with the agreement signed by the Minister of Housing, H.E. Basim Al Hamer, and the CEO of Diyar Al Muharraq, Dr Maher Al Shaer.
Pico was appointed to design, build and manage the signing ceremony event. Our proposal that the ceremony be held at the project site was accepted, and in the lead-up to the event, the team set up a white Roder tent with flag banners and wooden structures with branding for both the Ministry of Housing and Diyar al Muharraq. The design concept represented the importance of unity between the private and public sectors in achieving sustainable development.
A large 3D model and supporting graphic panels illustrated the look and feel of the upcoming project and its facilities for the guests. A red and white theme, developed from Diyar Al Muharraq’s logo and accented with arabesque patterns, enveloped the venue and provided a traditional but professional appearance.
