Singapore International Water Week is a global platform that brings leading water solutions policymakers, industry leaders, experts and practitioners together. Into its fourth year, the ultimate aim is to address challenges, showcase technologies, discover opportunities and celebrate achievements in the water world.
This year, Pico was appointed by Singapore’s Public Utilities Board (PUB) to design and build the biggest booth in the entire exhibition.
The challenge here was to tell a story in a totally new and captivating manner to returning visitors from the previous three shows. The approach our Singaporean colleagues eventually used was to present PUB’s achievement in a report book format with chapters that unfolded as visitors ventured deeper into the booth. Upon entering, people were guided through successive ‘chapters’ highlighting new breakthroughs in innovation and collaboration. Emerging from the core of the booth main tower signage was a sculpted banderole – it’s powerful dynamic continuous undulating design made maximum use of its surrounding and was a reflection of PUB’s core activities.
