Thanks to our deep experience in building national pavilions for World Expos, Pico was selected as the partner of choice for the Thailand Pavilion at ITU Telecom World 2014, held in Doha, Qatar.
The pavilion was a collaboration between two of our global offices in Qatar and Thailand. The teams jointly developed the concept and fabricated the pavilion, working together every step of the way.
Consisting of large structural pieces made from medium-density fiberboard (MDF) ply, the pavilion panels were painted both off-site and on-site to create a perfect finish. The structure was then accentuated with printed fabric.
Inside, the pavilion’s space was designed to optimise various activities. In the reception area, hostesses wearing traditional Thai dresses welcomed the visitors. Another area was reserved for entertaining and engaging visitors, who spent time learning about the culture of Thailand. Finally, a networking area allowed corporate visitors to discuss potential business opportunities. The attractive pavilion received a constant flow of visitors and maintained a friendly atmosphere, buzzing with activity and goodwill.
