The 55th Asia-Pacific Film Festival

One of the oldest film festivals in Asia, The Asia-Pacific Film Festival (APFF) was first held in 1954. The 55th edition of this prestigious event was held in mid-December 2012 at the Venetian Hotel, Macau. The three day show saw 23 countries contribute their cinematic best under the theme ‘The New Starting Line’.

A major international draw, the 55th APFF drew hundreds of film artists and directors, hundreds of delegates representing their respective cities and countries and media from all over the world. Together, they participated in business meetings, luncheons, gala dinner, seminars, press conferences, film screenings, including red carpet screenings, the prestigious APFF awards ceremony and after-show parties.

Given an extremely tight schedule, Pico teams had only few days to create a press conference in late November at the Four Seasons Hotel, Macau; and less than 10 days to collect details for the production of stages and backdrops, decorations, lighting and to make the necessary audio arrangements.

With the large number of parties involved, new updates to schedules and logistics seemed to appear every minute and clear communication was at times challenging. However, Pico are experts at swift arrangements and provided all the on-site support necessary to ensure smooth delivery.
