Pico has been awarded "Singapore Experience Award 2010 - Best Business Event Service Experience" by the Singapore Tourism Board for the second consecutive year.
Pico was nominated by the Chief Executive of Competition Commission of Singapore and Deputy Chair for APEC 2009 Singapore – Mr Teo Eng Cheong for our involvement with the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings in 2009.
Singapore was the host for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings in 2009. This is also a significant year as it marks the 20th year of APEC’s inception. Pico and its subsidiary MP International handled the prestigious meetings at Suntec Singapore and the Istana included the APEC Leaders’ Week, the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting and Singapore Evening. The meetings were a huge success and the project team was lauded for their professionalism.
The Singapore Experience Awards recognises organisations and individuals that have made outstanding contributions to enhance Singapore’s image as a premier tourist destination. Award categories encompass a wide cross-section of tourism sectors including, Hospitality, Retail, Dining, Entertainment, Attractions, Business Travel & MICE, Education and Healthcare.
The judging panel comprises local and overseas representatives who are recognised professionals in their respective fields. They bring expertise and experience to the judging panel’s efforts in determining the best of Singapore's tourism industry.
The Best Business Event Service Experience Award recognises a service provider that has demonstrated excellence in their delivery, service excellence, proactiveness and dedication to continual staff upgrading and training programmes.
