Holland Pavilion at Shanghai World Expo 2010

The remarkable 5,000 sq. m. Holland Pavilion presented a realistic slice of Dutch life through ‘Happy Street’ - a 400 meter-long pedestrianized street, which curved in a figure-of-eight. Made up of 26 small houses, each acting as a mini-pavilion, Happy Street celebrated Dutch achievements in architectural design and space- and energy-saving. Pico ensured the interior decoration of each house matched the typical Dutch style - including the ‘multi-door design’ - and that the entertaining multimedia displays reflected the Netherlands’ unique style.
