A school for ‘left-behind’ children in Shaanxi, China was the scene of a Xi’an Greenland Pico International Convention & Exhibition Center’s community activity entitled “Giving care to the school for ‘left-behind’ children”.

Staff from Xi’an Greenland Pico International Convention & Exhibition Center rallied to the cause by spending a day playing and singing with the students. As a parting gift, students received a useful item such as a school bag or suitcase. Afterwards, the staff members learnt more about the issue of left-behind children and special needs of the students.

In China, ‘left-behind’ children refer to those placed with others (usually grandparents or other relatives) for extended periods while their parents migrate to distant urban areas in search of work.
