The Mighty Oaks Foundation aims to help communities express respect for the elderly and to promote intergenerational engagement through the GrandChampions Elder Appreciation Photography Competition and its subsequent photography exhibitions.

The premise is simple: participants take photographs of older family members and submit the results to the competition judges. The works that best illustrate how the community values its elderly are subsequently shown at special exhibitions around Hong Kong.

The exhibitions were held between May and June in Wong Tai Sin, Yau Tong and Mong Kok. As part of its sponsorship, Pico’s contribution included design, fabrication, furniture and audio-visual equipment. It all helped to make the exhibitions and final award ceremony thought-provoking and memorable occasions for the whole community.
