Emerging norms for the MICE industry in Asia-Pacific

The reopening of borders and the return of in-person events are two of the major trends affecting the MICE industry today.

But while meetings are bouncing back, large-scale and cross-border ones have declined due to safety concerns. In their stead, smaller events of longer duration have become more prevalent, and especially those with meaningful and lofty purposes that ‘give back to society’ such as sustainability, conservation, community engagement or even team-building.

The signs of a strong rebound in many markets are encouraging – but with the pandemic still ongoing, the MICE industry must remain cautious.
