Pico Singapore builds two halls at COVID-19 Community Care Facility

As communities around the world pull together in unprecedented ways to fight COVID-19, Pico is contributing its diverse expertise to do its part.

In Singapore, for example, Pico was called upon to deliver 960 cubicles for a COVID-19 Community Care Facility. The project began in mid-April, following an announcement that Singapore EXPO & MAX Atria, managed by SingEx Venues, would be transformed into a facility for recovering patients.

The Pico team has fast-tracked their contribution to the 10,000 sq. m. space – even though the team has never before taken on a project of this type. Says Pico Singapore’s Executive Director Mr Ng Meng Chuen, who led the effort: “The global crisis has brought about many firsts for businesses and people from across the industry. We worked day and night to deliver the project, but did it gladly in the fight against COVID-19.

“The time and effort we spent are nothing compared to the dedication and commitment of the frontline workers and volunteers who are providing care to the CCF residents. We wish the residents a speedy recovery.”
