Qualcomm China Tech Day 2021

Beijing’s iconic Water Cube was the venue for Qualcomm China Tech Day 2021. The two-day summit offered a fascinating overview of Qualcomm-enabled ecosystems, and brought together more than a hundred partners who have been working with the brand to realise more advanced technologies and a 5G interconnected future.

Pico was appointed to activate the event with strategic planning, design, constructing the event venue, on-site operation services and project management.

The entire summit is divided into five themed experience areas for technology enthusiasts to experience and visit

Qualcomm China Tech Day 2021 was mainly comprised of Qualcomm 5G Summit, Snapdragon Night and Tech Open Day. The venue was divided into five themed experience areas featuring 24 demo zones in which displays and demonstrations of about 300 products and technologies developed by Qualcomm and its partners were showcased. Pico was involved in some of the product displays and demonstrations. The team also designed and built a dark room to help demonstrate how Snapdragon processors enhance the low-light photography capabilities of mobile phones and other devices. Attendees discovered how the processor provides illumination where needed, without compromising exposure levels or image detail.

As well as facilitating a livestream of the event to viewers around the world, the Pico team also managed every facet of the programme’s entertainment highlight: ping-pong match between the AI-powered Pongbot robot system and Grand Slam winner Ding Ning.

Over two days, the summit achieved the following impressive statistics:

  • About 2,000 participants engaged in the offline summit
  • Livestream of the summit generated 20 million views
  • Drove 5.5 billion Snapdragon product impressions to the two-day TMall Super Brand Day which was held concurrently with the summit.
