Thomson Reuters is the world’s leading source of intelligent information for businesses and professionals. The company combines industry expertise with innovative technology to deliver critical information to leading decision makers in the financial and risk, legal, tax and accounting, intellectual property and science and media markets.

The Global Islamic Investment Gateway (GIIG) is a pioneering initiative which facilitates cross-border investment transactions by bringing together investors and investment opportunities from across Islamic markets. The event leverages the resources of the Islamic Development Bank, Thomson Reuters and Bahrain Economic Development Board, linking investors with opportunities aligned to their preferences.

This year, Thomson Reuters appointed Pico to organise the conference, which was held in March at the Gulf Convention Centre in Manama, Bahrain and attended by C-level investment decision makers from national investment boards and promotional agencies from key countries all over the world.

In keeping with the subtle design requirements of a conference for the banking and investment industry, our team used the conference logo as a starting point for the design and maintained a consistent design theme across the booths, signage and auditorium installations. Lightweight, modular exhibition stands and wooden structures with vinyl stickers and flooring formed the exhibitor booths and event desks. Our team also managed the overall event flow, beginning with the registration and the panel discussion, through the networking, exhibition and seminar events running in parallel, and ending with the gala dinners which capped off the two successful conference days.
