Since its founding in 1975, Microsoft has become a global leader in software, services, devices and solutions. The firm is committed to offering new opportunities, creating unparalleled value and providing remarkable experiences for users across the world. Microsoft's Windows Hardware Engineering Community, known as WinHEC in the industry, is an important conference for Microsoft, where technical experts from the firm and its partners get together to discuss the future of the Windows platform. This year saw a re-launch of the event after a hiatus of seven years. This re-launch was a milestone, both for the hardware engineering community and for the cities of Seattle and Shenzhen, as WinHEC 2015 included a number of significant announcements regarding the launch of Windows 10.
Pico was heavily involved in the event planning, production, provision of fabrication services and event management of this essential conference at the Shenzhen Grand Hyatt Hotel. Our teams not only provided an aesthetically pleasing and professional environment in the 2,000 sq. m. space, we also transformed the hotel's Grand Ballroom from a large 900 sq. m. hall into three separate halls in under an hour - removing and re-installing a huge LCD screen and disassembling then reassembling a wall at record speed. The winning combination of this high-profile conference and our expert event management raised awareness of the Windows brand in Shenzhen across the board - an excellent result for Microsoft, its partners and the brand's new customers.
