Pollutec brings together professionals from around the world to discuss innovative solutions which reduce the impact of human activities on the environment. This annual show presents the cutting-edge equipment, technologies and services focusing on waste and the management of materials, water and wastewater, energy, air and risks, and sustainable development. The 2014 show saw 2,300 exhibitors and welcomed 65,000 trade visitors.

The New Energy and industrial technology Development Organisation (NEDO) is a public R&D management organisation in Japan. Through technology development and demonstration, they address energy and global environmental issues and enhance industrial technology. Pico was asked to activate NEDO’s presence at Pollutec 2014 by designing a stand which promoted ‘quality’ and ‘lightness’ in an interesting and engaging way.

The company’s logo was placed on the parapet – this logo had depth and was firm and stable, despite its lightweight construction. Also, in order to free up space, the panels were hung from the ceiling as opposed to being placed on the floor, creating more space and a better traffic flow throughout the booth.
