A team of seven from Pico+ UK successfully took part in the Virgin Pulse Global Challenge from May to August 2018, measuring their daily steps for 100 days and taking part in some friendly competition with other firms from around the world.
The goal of the Virgin Pulse Global Challenge was to complete a series of walking challenges as a team to improve their physical and psychological health and show their team spirit. Each of the seven team members was given a step tracking device to wear which measured their activity around the clock and total amount of steps taken per day.
Every week their statistics were uploaded to the ‘Global Challenge’ website, which unlocked new mini-challenges as well as tips and recommendations on a healthy lifestyle.
While engaging in the Challenge, the team went above and beyond, raising funds for Momentum Children’s Charity, a local charitable organization which supports sick kids and their family, from staff donations and by creating a public fundraising page.
At the end of the 100 days, not only were the team healthier and more active, they also gave back to the community.
