‘Wynn Macau Week 2021’ roadshow

‘Wynn Macau Week 2021’ was one outcome of a collaboration between the renowned hotel brand and the Macau SAR Government to rejuvenate tourism by promoting Macau as a destination of choice. Between late March and early June, the ‘Wynn Macau Week 2021’ roadshow visited Hangzhou, Nanjing and Shanghai to take its message directly to a target audience of city residents and visitors.

Appointed to activate the event, the Pico team’s tasks included designing and building the roadshow booth, creating replicas of the Wynn’s iconic ‘Tree of Prosperity’ and floral hot-air balloon sculptures, coordinating dance shows, and adding a touch of eye-catching design and decor to Wynn’s parade ‘Show bus’. The booth and replicas were to be shown at all three roadshow locations.

The cumulative result was an inside look at Macau’s hottest hotspots and the entertainment and services on offer at the Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace. As well as coordinating the dance shows, the team also provided costumes for the dance troupe, Wynn’s panda mascots ‘Wing Wing’ and ‘Lei Lei’, and all the showgirls. A highlight of the show was a dance music medley of favourite songs from Wynn Macau’s signature attraction ‘Performance Lake’.

The final stop in the tour – Shanghai – marked the debut of the ‘Show bus’. Vibrantly decorated inside and out in Wynn colours, it travelled throughout the city, making stops at major tourist attractions such as the Bund and Xintiandi and inviting visitors on board for an up-close and personal Wynn experience.

Not only did the roadshow help Wynn reach its target audience at all three stops, but it also provided the brand with networking and information sharing opportunities with travel agencies, wholesale tour operators and a variety of media.
