Pico Singapore’s activation of the PUBG Mobile – 4th Anniversary Campaign took three Platinum Winner honours:
- Digital Marketing (Campaign) – Mobile Campaign
- Digital Marketing (Campaign) – Marketing Effectiveness
- Digital Marketing (Campaign) – COVID-19-Related
Initiated by Tencent subsidiary Proxima Beta of Level Infinite, the gamified campaign invited players to join in celebrating the popular mobile game – Player Unknown Battleground Mobile’s (PUBG Mobile)’s fourth anniversary. The result was an adventurous treasure hunt that seamlessly blended real and virtual worlds. Pico Singapore was appointed to conceptualise, design and develop the project’s web app and design and develop the AR treasure hunt.
With their mobile phones, participants could access the PUBG Mobile app page and activate AR markers in seven cities, with each marker signifying an ‘airdrop’. The top three scorers stood a chance for physical prizes such as an iPhone 13, as well as meet-and-greets with local influencers, attracting user participation and driving them towards downloads.
Conducted by International Awards Associate Inc, the Vega Digital Awards recognise and celebrate excellence in websites, mobile, social, and marketing across local and international markets.
